Welcome!
This digital case study web site is currently ( October 2020) a work in progress. It is designed to support and enhance student learning for the case study "Oak Tree Inn: Growth challenges facing a family run tourism business"
This case study is published in "Exploring Strategy : Text and Cases" 12th edition (pages 723 - 730)
This web site is designed to serve four primary purposes:

-
To provide supplementary information and detail on the Oak Tree Inn business not possible given the word count limitations of the published written case study
 -
To provide more depth and detail in the information for students to access and use in the various discipline areas covered by this case study (eg strategic management; tourism and hospitality studies; marketing; accounts and finance; human resource management; etc). These areas can be accessed via the links via the above menu bar.
 -
To provide up to date and refreshed information and data (with written case studies, the data, company context and ambitions are fixed at a point in time, a digital resource enables more up to date information to be provided).
 -
To provide an interactive and immersive experience for students using the written case study, through a fully digitised case study support platform

Please use the menu at the top and top right of this page to explore the various sections of this site. The Virtual Reality (VR) content can be best viewed using simple cardboard viewers used with a smart phone (more sophisticated VR equipment/headsets can also be used).
